Seattle based computer education nonprofit Code.org is teaming with the British rock band Coldplay for a contest aimed at inspiring more kids to learn coding through the joys of music and dancing.

The effort — hashtagged as #codeplay on social media — launched last week and kids around the world can enter for a chance to win Coldplay concerts tickets or get a classroom video chat with the band.

Code.org is encouraging kids to “join the Dance Party” by coding choreography to the Coldplay single “Higher Power.” Dance Party teaches kids to code in a 10-step tutorial. Creations can be posted on social media or submitted to Code.org and the nonprofit will join the band in sharing and commenting on their favorites.

Coldplay promoted the contest on Facebook. In every city on the band’s “Music of the Spheres” tour, two students and two chaperones will be picked to receive free tickets to the concert. One classroom will get to have a video call with the band, picked from among projects that feature an entire classrooms dancing.

Code.org was co-founded by longtime entrepreneur Hadi Partovi in 2013.
