Microsoft’s $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard cleared a hurdle Thursday as Activision shareholders approved the deal, with more than 98% of votes in favor. Some activist investors had urged voting “no.” The deal, which would be the largest acquisition in Microsoft’s history, still needs regulatory approval and is expected to close in Microsoft’s fiscal year ending June 30, 2023.
