T-Mobile has swooped up Octopus Interactive, a Bethesda, Md.-based startup that runs an ad network for video screens inside Uber and Lyft vehicles. The deal will boost T-Mobile’s Marketing Solutions arm. Octopus’ ads reach more than 5 million riders per month; clients include Audible, Fox Entertainment, and Philo. The “Out-of-home” advertising market grew 38% year-over-year in the third quarter of 2021, according to Adweek.
